We believe a fixed price for the veterinary attention that your mare needs when at/walked into stud proves very cost-effective for you and beneficial for keeping our conception rates to a maximum. It provides us with a means to examine your mare as often as required and provides a optimal standard of treatment without the worry of increasing the total cost to you.
The package includes:
- All routine scans. i.e.
Pre-covering, important for correct timing of covering.
Post-covering, essential to check for time of ovulation and presence of fluid or infections.
Pregnancy scans, recommended at 14, 28 and 45 days post-ovulation with additional 16 and 18 day scans if twin ovulated.
- Taking any samples or swabs but not lab fees.
- Routine treatment. i.e.
Ovulation-induction agents, 'Chorulon' and/or 1 'Ovuplant'.
Multiple treatments of oxytocin for reducing fluid in the uterus
Any antibiotic treatment necessary for uterine inflammation / infections post-covering.
- Minor gynecological surgical procedures, e.g. Caslicks.
- Sedation on up to three occasions.
The package does not include:
- Post-foaling checks.
- External lab fees, e.g. CEM, EVA, EIA or uterine swabs for investigation of infertility.
- Medical problems unrelated to the reproductive tract.
- Any form of surgery other than minor gynecological surgery.
A live foal is not guaranteed but we will endeavor to do our best for each mare.
