Alex England

Alex works mainly in the practice at Lichfield, where he is the partner responsible for the general supervision of surgical cases and 'in patients'. As well as a degree in Veterinary Medicine Alex has a B.Sc. in Pharmacology. He is particularly interested in Orthopaedic surgery.

Outside of work, Alex is a keen photographer and has had some of his work published.

Jane Singleton

Jane graduated from the Royal Veterinary College London. She consults mainly at our Burntwood Surgery and is interested in Small Animal Medicine and Surgery including 'Small Furries'. Outside of work Jane enjoys yoga and playing the piano. She also likes to spend time with her two cats 'Winston and Huey' and her Californian King snake 'Stripey'.

Ian Thomas

Ian is the partner responsible for anaesthesia at Pool House Veterinary practice. He obtained the RCVS Certificate in Veterinary Anaesthesia in 2004 - the first vet from the practice to do so. Although he is largely based at the practice in Lichfield and our Armitage branch he is a regular visitor to the Equine Clinic where he advises on the anaesthetic requirements for our equine patients. He is currently studying for the RCVS certificate in Small Animal Surgery.

Ian Jennings

Ian graduated Melbourne University but originated from Bristol. He also has a degree in neuroscience from Edinburgh University. He works mainly in the companion animal practice and is based at the main practice. Outside of veterinary practice Ian plays Rugby and is a competitive swimmer.

Stuart Holland

Stuart is responsible for the running of the practice and the Burntwood Branch which he founded. His special interest is the diseases of the eye, He is available for consultations by appointment most afternoons at the practice and most mornings and evenings at Burntwood.

James Cadwallader

James has worked at the practice for the last four years and concentrates on small animal medicine and surgery. He was a finalist in the 2003 'Petplan Vet of the Year Awards'. Currently he is studying for the Certificate in Small animal Surgery. Outside of work he is an enthusiastic downhill mountain bike competitor, and enjoys taking 'fly' (a sheepdog) for walks. He supports Aston Villa football club and is a regular at most home games.

Helen Dearing

Helen graduated from the R(D)SVS Edinburgh with distinction, and was awarded the William Dick Gold Medal upon graduation. Her main interests are in canine and feline internal medicine, and she also has an interest in rabbit and rodent medicine. Outside of work she enjoys going to the gym, walking and cooking. She has a cat, Daisy, and 2 gerbils Nimrod and Dookie.
