The Veterinary practice in Pool House, Dam Street, Lichfield is the result
of a continuous development of a practice founded in the late 19th Century.
Originally located in Bore Street it moved to its present building in 1965.
Over the years the premises have been enlarged and modernised to form a
modern Veterinary practice.
The small animal practice is under the directorship of Mr. S. M. Holland, a
Veterinary Surgeon of many years experience. The Group not only works with
pet animals, but is also the largest Equine Practice in the Midlands with
over 15,000 horses registered owned by over 9,000 clients.
In addition to our work as a Veterinary Practice the Partners and Staff at
Pool House have a long-term commitment to the welfare of animals throughout
the area and beyond. To this end we covenant to the work of the 'Animal
Health Trust', and are corporate members of the 'Rare Breeds Survival
Trust'. We also sponsor the Kings Bromley Show, the Alrewas Show, the Pony
club two-day event at Catton Hall, and the Sheriff's Ride, by provision of a
duty Vet, free of charge.
Vets from Pool House can also be found at many local cat and dog shows. We
take great pride in our contribution to these events which enrich our local
community.
